Hello! I’m Dr. Rakesh Sehgal. I am an engineer by education, academician by profession and a researcher by passion. Having done B.E in Mechanical Engg. from Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Annamalai University (T.N), and M.Tech. in Design of Mechanical Equipment from IIT Delhi, my passion drove me towards the field of research. I did my Ph.D. in Tribology from R.E.C. Kurukshetra, Kurukshetra University and after that I pursued Post Doctorate in the area of thermal behavior of Non-Circular Hydrodynamic Journal Bearings under UGC Fellowship Award between 2009-2011 and developed film thickness equations for Elliptical and Off-set Halves hydrodynamic journal bearings. I have had affiliations with various renowned institutions in various capacities, and currently I am holding the post of Director at NIT Srinagar (J&K). Here I share my ideas and observations about the future of my work, research, and life..
